We have not perceived any fire code issues but you must ensyre the following.

1) The PVC should be fire retardant and anti static.
2) The fire alarm should be tested to ensure it is loud enough within the cold aisle to meets current regulations

Post installation, we also had a fire assessment from our fire specialists to ensure it did not contravene any other regulations.

The only issue seemed to be on the delivery of the fire extinguishing gas but it was confirmed that our CRAC units do not switch off during gas release therefore dispersion within the cold aisle should not be affected ( especially as the system was to be run in manual)

Dave
