I attended the 5th Power and Cooling Conference in London at the end of last week and was thoroughly disappointed in the lask of anything new being discussed.

Not sure if any members attended or not.

If you did what were your thoughts?.
If you didn't you didn't actually miss anything!

Hi Jack,

Was it technology or processes that you had hoped to hear new things about? There are still many who have little understanding of both.

Hi David
I
had hoped that there was opportunity for both.

On the technology front there was little new from previous years, other than Thom at DataSentience and Alan Beresford at EcoCooling adding meat onto the previous bones they had cast, which was interesting. Sadly Rittal had the same old same old, and ETDE who exhibited for the first time but didn't present.

On the process front we still talked about efficiency monitoring, CRC, PUE etc but very little, other than a passing reference to the EU Code of Conduct and why or if we should sign up to it etc.

Learned about how to build a Data Centre in a Norwegian mine though :)
