- Carrie (Higbie) Goetz, D.MCO has been involved in the computing and networking industries for over 30 years. Carrie currently works for Paige DataCom Solutions as the Global Director of Technology shaping the technological future for end-user solutions. This global services division is responsible for data center, intelligent building and data communications products and services for this division of Paige Electric. GDoT duties include product management, design, and specifications, technical marketing (whitepapers, blog, publications) and technology drivers for the industry as whole.
She is a keynote speaker at numerous industry events, end-user education forums and various conferences globally. Globally published, Carrie is a frequent industry blogger and expert contributing to over 250 publications in 69 countries. She also writes for Network Performance, Processor, Inside Networks, ZeroDownTime, DataCenter Dynamics, and various other publications. Carrie has won the "Communication News" Editor's Choice Award for two years.
Carrie holds an honorary doctorate from AATCU and is an Adjunct Professor and their Vice Chairperson, and Chair of the STEM Education Initiative. She holds and RCDD/NTS is on the IEEE Standards Association; is a 1st Degree Infrastructure Mason, CDCP/CDCS. She chairs and participates in Women in Data Centers, AFCOM, 7x24Exchange, WIMCO, and other forums fostering women in the industry beginning at a young age. She is a member of the International Women's Leadership Association and was a finalist in 2018 International IT Woman of the Year.
An extensive background in all aspects of IT including networking and application development as a programmer, consultant, project manager, and Fortune 500 executive running IT departments and data centers with multi-million dollar budgets and has taught at a collegiate level.
