Economic Incentives for building Data Centers - who gives what, where?
There was a very interesting article in the Buffalo News regarding the incentives that state economic development officials have given Yahoo and Verizon to build their data centers in their areas.
The article states that Yahoo were given $200 million in tax breaks + $58 million in electricity discounts + $10 million in federal stimulus grants!!
Anyone else know of what type of incentives are offered to build data centers?
How does the incentives offered in the US compare to those offered by other regions/states/governments?
