Established in 2002 MigSolv was founded by its current CEO, Alex Rabbetts. MigSolv was, and still is, the only UK consultancy to specialise exclusively in data centre environments. The company was originally established because it was recognised that, in spite of the fast growing role of corporate IT, there was an acute lack of guidance on the specialised environments needed to house it. The company rapidly grew to become a global expert in data centre design (for operation), reviews and audits, standards and best practice operation (running data centres on behalf of a number of blue chip clients).

In 2011 MigSolv put its consultancy expertise to further use by starting its own commercial data centre business. Acquiring a purpose built data centre with infrastructure that had reached end of life, MigSolv completely refurbished it, installed all brand new infrastructure and established a world class facility with unrivalled security, super fast connectivity and strong environmental credentials. In 2016, a range of Cloud services were added to offer Public, Private and Hybrid Cloud offerings to existing and new customers.
