Demonstration will highlight how members of Modius’s TAP enable customers to lower data center energy and operational costs by aggregating real-time environmental intelligence

New York – May17, 2010 — Facilities and IT managers all over the world have a common problem: how to aggregate real-time monitoring and measurement intelligence with disparate management platforms throughout the data center. Without centralized power and environmental intelligence, data center operators miss the opportunity to achieve the full energy savings available to them.

To help members of the data center community learn how to reduce data center energy consumption and operational costs, Modius Inc., the industry leader in providing Enterprise-class distributed real-time monitoring and management of data center resources, will demonstrate a comprehensive set of customer resource management solutions during the Uptime Institute Symposium 2010 at the New York Hilton, May 17-19, 2010.

For the first time in the industry, Modius and many of the members of its Technology Alliance Program (TAP) will demonstrate collecting real-time metric data from a wide variety of wired and wireless sources, normalizing and transforming these metrics into usable KPIs, and then presenting the resulting environmental intelligence in real-time.

Key Technology Alliance Program members taking part in this demonstration include:

  • Asset-Point, the New York-based visual asset management, data center designer and capacity planning solution provider
  • RF Code, the Austin, TX-based supplier of active RFID-based asset management location and environmental sensors
  • Server Technology, the Reno, NV-based supplier of highly intelligent rack-based power distribution equipment
