The datadock data center came into being by remodeling a former warehouse in the port area of Strasbourg. The planning phase had already begun in 2007; in 2009 the operator PlusServer AG started all necessary rebuilding measures and construction of infrastructure. The datadock will be finished and put into operation in summer 2010.

Among other things, its excellent connections -- all important European IT and Telco lines run through Strasbourg -- as well as its central European position recommend Strasbourg as the perfect construction site. The data center has an optimal location which guarantees fastest connections to all European regions, thus enabling PlusServer AG to provide all international customers with high quality services.
